With hair by Eugene Souleiman forWella, makeup by Dick Page for Shiseido and nails by Deborah Lippmann it was pretty much an all star cast backstage at Narciso Rodriquez SS 2012 collection.
Deborah Lippmann said the collection was much more colorful than anything Rodriquez has done before and he wanted a cream nail that was there and not completely finished. Completely on trend with the rest of the looks we have spotted for spring, the nails were painted a creamy, cement grey neutral called “Waking Up In Vegas.” Lippmann said the nails matched the toes and were kept short and rounded.
Eugene Souleiman said there wasn’t much inspiration and direction for the hair besides “color.” He took advantage of Rodriquez’s trust and opted for a futuristic, aerodynamic up-do. The hair was slicked back with loads of hairspray before blow dried and sprayed with either blue, white, yellow or orange color to match the outfit. “I can’t believe I am doing this type of hair-do in New York,” Souleiman said, “It feels like it should be in Paris.”

Dick Page for Shiseido wanted to achieve a very monochromatic face with natural eyes with no powder. “We wanted an intense face, but keep it natural.” For the eyebrows, Page wanted to add a little bit of shine. “I mean it is hair, it should have shine in it,” he said.
