The Golden Globes kicks off a month of award shows but that doesn’t mean it’s not one of the most glam nights of the year. It’s one of the only shows where both TV and film stars come together wearing their finest suits and gowns. But it’s the Golden Globes beauty looks for 2020 that really catch our attention. The show is a bit more laid-back than the Oscars, which can encourage celebrities to experiment with their hair and makeup. It’s all a bit more fun.
This year, we’re lucky to have a crop of stars who walk the red carpet looking anything but boring. There’s Jennifer Lopez, nominated for Hustlers, Margot Robbie (Bombshell), Awkwafina (The Farewell) and Cynthia Erivo (Harriet) — just to name a few. They never let us down, never phone-it-in. And they work with some of the most exciting makeup artists and hairstylists in the game.
Below, our list of the prettiest, coolest, most double-tap-worthy beauty looks from the 77th Golden Globes.

That hint of blue liner deserves a standing ovation. Makeup artist Adam Burrell used Eylure Luxe Silk Lashes in Emerald ($11.99 at Ulta) to make her eyes pop.

The actress is back to her pixie and we’re not complaining. And that red lip? Flawless.

The singer and actress looks effortless in her wispy updo.

So fresh-faced. So fabulous.

The actress’ smokey eye is thanks to makeup artist Alex Babsky. He used Lancôme products, including Le Crayon Khôl Eyeliner in Black Ebony ($26 at Ulta) and Grandiôse Liner in 01 Matte Noir ($32 at Sephora).

Celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho used Hair Rituel by Sisley-Paris products along with GHD tools for this sleek style that lets her glowy skin stand out.

Charlotte Tilbury used her Pillow Talk lipstick and lip liner to give Hayek this dreamy pink lip.

Now, this is how you do hair accessories.

Looking chic as ever in a slicked-back bob. Celeb hairstylist Lona Vigi used Virtue Healing Oil ($32 at Virtue) to protect Witherspoon’s hair from heat. She then dried her hair straight with the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Professional Edition, that’s currently sold-out. And how can we forget those glam lashes? Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan used Lashify Gossamer Lashes in A8 ($20 at Lashify) to the outer corners of her eyes, F10 ($25 at Lashify) for fullness and F12 ($25 at Lashify) to lift the eyes.

I can’t take my eyes off this red lip. Not surprisingly, makeup artist Mary Phillips used Pat McGrath Labs makeup on her client. That sultry lip is a blend of Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil in Major Red ($28 at Sephora) for shape and definition, MatteTrance Lipstick in Vendetta ($40 at Sephora) to add depth, and Obsessed ($40 at Sephora) and Elson 2 ($40 at Sephora) to “create a lush ombré effect,” per the brand.

The perfect fashion-beauty match. Makeup artist Kate Synnott used Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Classic Red ($8.50 at Amazon ) for that vampy pout. Her ultra-full lashes are Lashify Gossamer Lashes in A12 ($20 at Lashify) along the top lash line and three B14 lashes ($20 at Lashify) at the outer corners of her eyes. Synnott used Whisper Light Single Sided Bond ($20 at Lashify) to blend the natural lashes with the Gossamer Lashes. Gorgeous.

This hairdo looks luscious. Hairstylist Jillian Halouska wanted Lyonne to look like a “retro Barbie” so she created 1-inch curls and used OGX Smoothing + Shea Sleek Humidity Blocking Hairspray ($8.99 at Ulta) to make sure they stay all night. She brushed out the curls and applied OGX Shine & Revitalize Argan Oil of Morocco Dry Oil Shine Mist ($8.99 at Ulta) to add shine and OGX Natural Finish + Aspen Texture Molding Paste ($7.48 at Amazon) to tame flyaways.

The prettiest little bob we ever did see. Plus, that flawless skin? It’s Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation, applied by makeup artist Angela Levin.

A classic bob for a classic beauty.

Loving this choppy bang. Hairstylist Adir Abergel created another “iteration of the bowl cut” with this deep side part. He used Virtue Healing Oil ($32 at Virtue) to protect her hair from heat damage before styling.

Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis used Armani Beauty Smooth Silk Lip Pencil in 8 ($30 at Sephora) and Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick in 402 ($38 at Sephora). For her Old Hollywood-style hair, stylist Mara Roszak created a twisted low ponytail look created using Leonor Greyl products. The standout here is the Leonor Greyl Voluforme Styling Spray ($36 at Neiman Marcus) which added volume to the top of her hair.

The Harriet nominee came to slay in silver hair. Celebrity makeup artist Terrell Mullin gave Erivo “milk chocolate skin” by using Armani Beauty Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Cream ($110 at Armani) and Armani Beauty Smart Moisture Serum ($100 at Nordstrom) to create a dewy canvas. He then applied Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation in 11.5 ($64 at Sephora) mixed with “a touch” of Fluid Sheer in 11 ($62 at Armani) for that glow.

What isn’t there to love about this dreamy monochromatic makeup beat?

The SNL star is dazzling (literally) in glitter shadow. And those lashes? Makeup artist Cassandra Garcia added fullness with Lashify 12mm natural-style A Gossamers ($20 at Lashify) on the middle and inner corners of McKinnon’s eyes, as well as 14mm dense and intense B Gossamers ($20 at Lashify) to the outer corners.

It’s Beautycounter Color Intense Lipstick in First Date ($34 at Beautycounter) with Illuminating Cream Highlighter in Rose Glow ($32 at Beautycounter) on top, courtesy of makeup artist Jenn Streicher.

The TV host took our breath away in this bold red lippie.

The reality star and entrepreneur is serving in a flawless bob and millennial pink makeup. Her skin is glowing thanks to Buxom Cosmetics Divine Goddess Luminizing Highlighter Palette ($22 at Buxom), applied by makeup artist Ash K Holm.

The TV host’s finger waves and white under-liner are perfection.

The actress is serving Old Hollywood glamour in full-bodied hair waves and pretty pink makeup.
