If I had a nickel for every celebrity who debuted a random pair of baby bangs on the Vanity Fair Oscar Party red carpet, I’d have to nickels. Maybe even more. Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry both showed up to the Vanity Fair party, this year held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, sporting a very tightly trim fringe. They’re likely clip-ins, which is actually quite a common trick amongst celebs trying to switch up a hair look for an event without committing to a real chop. They do this with wigs, bangs, longer hair pieces, you get the gist. Emma Chamberlain once showed in a vlog how she and her stylist decided on a clip-in bang ahead of Paris Fashion Week appearance.
But now that the practice is quite popular, the bang clip-in is actually pretty accessible to the everyday consumer. No word on how good the quality is compared to the hair pieces that celebrity hair stylists use, but if you’re good with a wig, you’ll be able to move your way around.
