If you’re in search of nail inspo, the red carpet is the best place to look. At the Oscars this year, the stars were giving us tons of nail looks to obsess over—and since then, we’ve been on the hunt for more celeb-approved nail trends. At the iHeartRadio Awards last night, Madison Beer donned an incredibly chic milky manicure just in time for spring. Her set is proving that simple nails never go out of style, and it’s inspiring us to get a little more minimalistic next time we hit the nail salon.
As much as we love a Cynthia Erivo-esque extra long embellished set, it seems like classic nails are becoming even more prominent in the trend cycle. Whether it’s a subdued American manicure or a cutesy bubble bath set—sometimes the best nail look is the most simple one. Thankfully for all the simple nail lovers, the inspo is pretty much never-ending. And when we noticed Madison Beer’s gorgeous almond nails at the iHeartRadio awards, we had no choice but to add them to our moodboards.

Madison Beer’s milky white almond nails were created by celebrity manicurist Sreynin Peng, using Aprés gel extensions and polish. She started off by applying the Aprés Natural Almond Medium Gel-X Tips to Madison’s natural nails for length. Then, she applied a sheer pink color to the extensions and painted on French tips with a milky white. To complete the look, she sealed everything with a couple more coats of the milky white and topped it off with chrome for that light-catching effect.
Luckily, if you’re looking to recreate Madison’s nail look at a salon, it won’t be too difficult to get it to a T. Simply ask your nail tech for medium almond extensions, ombre consisting of nude and milky white, and a touch of chrome. (When in doubt, a picture reference makes everything way easier.) But, if you’re more of an at-home nail girly, rest assured there are tons of ways to get the look on your own too. Even if you don’t have a UV lamp for gel polish, there is regular polish with that same milky effect. Experiment with a few different shades to get that faux French manicure look, top with another layer of the milky polish—and your nails are officially red carpet ready.
