At Coachella, the White Lotus star debuted two different nail looks during her performance—one of which being an actual set of claws. Although this avant-garde manicure might seem like it came out of nowhere, tons of celebrities have been getting extra experimental with their nails recently. Which only begs the question—will weird nails become even bigger than the classics in 2025?
From Megan Thee Stallion’s controversial lipstick nails to Cynthia Erivo’s extra long embellished sets, 2025’s hottest nail trends are anything but subtle. While simple looks like the French manicure will always be popular, nails like Lisa’s are inspiring us to get a little more bold with our usual sets. Because as impractical as claws are—you have to admit, they look super cool.
At Coachella this past weekend, Lisa debuted not one, but two different nail looks for her performance. Her manicurist Juan Alvear created both looks using Aprés products, and they perfectly captured the sexy sci-fi vibes of her look. For the actual performance, Lisa wore a more subdued silver iridescent almond set—but all eyes were on the Nosferatu-esque chrome claws she wore on the big screen.
One thing’s for certain, editorial nails aren’t going anywhere. While sharp talon nails aren’t exactly wearable for everyday, we still can’t help but be intrigued by them—especially since they’re all over our feeds and on our favorite stars. Just like makeup, weird nails are another way to take your look up a notch and live your futuristic fantasy. When they look this good, who cares if they’re impractical?
