The Cannes Film Festival is here—and of course Bella Hadid is in attendance. Since 2016, the model has attended the festivities every year, sporting tons of chic naked gowns and elegant hairstyles. And although nudity was officially banned at the Cannes red carpet this year, Bella is finding new ways to shock us. Just today, she debuted honey blonde hair that makes her look almost identical to her big sister Gigi.
Up until this point, Bella has always been known for her signature chocolate brown hair color. Sure, she’s dabbled with other shades in the past, but her dark brown has remained a constant staple of her look. That is, until she arrived to Cannes with blonde hair. By now, we know that Bella can pull off practically any hair color (or beauty look in general for that matter), but that doesn’t make this hair transformation any less unexpected.

Today, Bella Hadid was seen sporting honey blonde hair at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Because of the nude ban, Bella wore a backless black satin gown with subtle side boob. Right away, fans noticed that her new hair color—consisting of a warmer blonde base and complementing ashy highlights—closely reassembled her sister Gigi Hadid’s signature hair color. Whether it was intentional or not, we’ve never seen the two look so similar.
Although Bella was known for turning heads at Cannes with her barely-there dresses, this new hair is proof that she’s still completely capable of getting experimental with her looks. But, because celebrities love to pull off an impromptu hair change, no one knows for sure if Bella will stick with this hair color after the festival ends. If nothing else, at least we got a peek of blonde Bella.
