If you’re just starting your wig journey, a textured unit is probably the smartest move. Textured wigs usually come naturally or chemically styled with little to no heat tools required, letting you play around with wet or dry finger styling—and that’s precisely what you get with the Luvme Hair Water Wave 360 Lace Flexi-Fit Invisi Drawstring Cap Long Wig 100% Human Hair Pre-bleached & Pre-plucked & Pre-Cut Lace.
Jumping into wigs can honestly feel overwhelming. The last thing anyone wants is a wig that screams “wig”—synthetic-looking strands, plastic shine, or a helmet-esque fit that announces itself before you do. This unit is engineered to avoid those pitfalls. It’s essentially pre-done—not overstyled, never heavy-handed—just natural-looking, touchable texture, with the essential specs to keep stress levels at zero.

As expected, the unboxing experience delivered on anticipation. Removing the Water Wave Wig from its box, fishnet, and careful layers revealed every necessity: comb, clips, elastic band, and a wig cap—all stowed beneath an unapologetic waterfall of curls. Curls everywhere.
It’s nearly impossible not to run your fingers through the waves on first sight. But, fair warning: the more you touch, the more those curls start to separate and loosen. The wiser move is to wait for a full comb-through until the wig is seated, so you can decide whether to keep your look defined or go loose and voluminous.
The unit comes in a natural No. 2 hair color, and if you order the longest, 24-inch option, don’t be surprised if the first pass feels short. The curls naturally elongate as you finger-comb, but while they gain a little length, they don’t seem to hit “24 inches.” Like most curly units, this piece is offered only at 150% density, a choice that always leads to the same dilemma. Curly wigs are most dramatic when full—there’s never quite enough volume to go around. Out of the box, density looks decent, but expect thinning after some wear, especially as you style. This is supposed to be a voluminous look, so the lack of fullness stands out. Pro tip: add clip-ins early and let go of density anxiety.
The standout features here are twofold: the 360 lace perimeter and the flexi-fit invisi drawstring. The 360 lace wraps front, back, and sides, meaning the entire outline of the unit is lace—giving the most natural scalp-like appearance possible, and freeing you to style high buns, ponytails, braids, or anything else that shows off a natural-looking nape. The flexi-fit invisi drawstring, a clear, three-strand elastic sewn into the nape, allows easy tightening or loosening. Consider this innovation a game-changer for wigs—it’s the first of its kind, blending invisibly into the nape so you get a snug fit without visible hardware, even in updos. The box also contains a separate elastic band for additional security. The wig comes with four short interior combs—front, back, left, right—offering grip and confidence no matter how you style.
I’ve worn more wigs than I can count, all supposedly the same size, but this one felt different—a bit too snug. That’s not to say the unit didn’t deliver on style variety: It’s a free-part wig, so you can part it anywhere or not at all, and it genuinely looks great worn any way you like. Running my hands through the hair, I noticed the curls loosen more and more, shifting from tight Shirley Temple spirals into softer, waterfall waves—exactly as expected for this texture.

One thing to keep in mind: like most Luvme Hair wigs, the knots claimed to be pre-bleached are still pretty visible up close, so if you’re going for an undetectable scalp illusion, plan on either bleaching them yourself or having a stylist further customize that lace. It’s a minor hassle but it makes all the difference for realism.
All in all, I genuinely love the texture of this hair and think the innovative flexi-fit drawstring and full 360 lace features are some of the best in the game. That said, the singular sizing is the only downside—it was impossible for me to really test those updo and nape-exposing styling claims when the fit was just a bit too tight.
