Kim Kardashian Buzz Cut Photos: The Star Looks Unrecognizable
Kim Kardashian is no stranger to hair transformations. We’ve seen her platinum blonde, brunette, and her natural black, with medium-length waves and ultra-long, straight strands. But what’s entirely new for the star? Kim Kardashian’s buzz cut. Kardashian is on the cover of “CR Fashion Book Issue 23 Muses,” which debuted all over Instagram today. She surprised everyone with her new look.
“[I]t’s Kim as you’ve never seen her before for CR Fashion Boom Issue 23 Muses,” reads the copy along with the eye-catching editorial. Kardashian has super short dark hair, a wig styled by Matt Benns, pencil-thin, vintage-looking brows, and thick, cat-eye glasses. Makeup artist Yadim Carranza created the 1960s-style makeup look with heavy lashes and light, glossy lids.
It looks nothing like we’re used to seeing the social star. In fact, some are saying this look makes her resemble Bianca Censori, Kanye West’s latest wife. We don’t see it, except that Censori also has short, dark hair. Others are saying she’s giving Gina Gershon.
This isn’t Kardashian’s first time on the cover of the magazine. She first was on “CR Fashion Book Issue 3, Fall/Winter 2013” shot by Karl Lagerfeld with the creative vision of Riccardo Tisci. She was then on the cover two more times, as the Pioneer Woman in CR13 and alongside Cher and Naomi Campbell for CR19. It’s a whopping 10 years later since her debut.
In the issue, Kardashian talks about her work with prison reform. “I think the biggest issue I haven’t achieved, that remains a priority, and one that I cannot achieve on my own, is with our judicial system and our prison system and how they are run,” she says. “I just hope to make a difference in some way during my lifetime.”
