Breaking Hair News: Mindy Kaling’s Amazing Bob
Mindy Kaling is on a serious roll. Our favorite show, The Mindy Project, was picked up by Hulu after being cancelled by Fox, her new movie Inside Out is getting rave reviews, and her new book Why Not Me is coming out in September.
And now she’s got a brand new haircut. Gone are the extensions she wore at Cannes; now she has a sleek, chin-length bob, and we are OBSESSED.

The gorgeous cut is work of celebrity stylist Christopher Narselli, who has also tended to the lovely locks of our girl Sophia Bush. Mindy’s new bob isn’t just totally fresh for summer, it’s also incredibly versatile: the long layers in front can be styled as side-swept bangs, it can be worn center-parted or deep parted to either side, and the long layers throughout allow the teeniest peek of sun-kissed highlights to peek through. It could be—dare we say it?—the perfect summer haircut.
Our imaginary best friend Mindy is no stranger to bobs; in June of last year she lopped off her long, thick hair into a collarbone-length, slightly asymmetrical style. But this even shorter style? We’re definitely here for it.
