This lightweight oil from Kérastase does way more than just make your hair smell good.
Game Changer: A Luxurious Hair Fragrance That's Worth Every Penny

Game-Changer-Article-KerastasePerfume meant exclusively for hair is one of those things that, while a lovely addition to any girl’s beauty repertoire, is all but entirely superfluous. Nobody—not a soul!—needs a hair perfume, and while we’re willing and able to justify the majority of our ridiculous beauty purchases, hair perfume is a little less reasonable in that sense. After all, it serves no viable purpose but to scent the hair, which is a decidedly unnecessary thing to do.

But a hair fragrance that doubles as a nourishing treatment… now that might be a splurge we can actually rationalize. We’re admittedly also fools for artful, display-worthy packaging and a few well-placed French words, which makes Kérastase Parfum Chronologiste Oil all the more appealing (and therefore all the easier to pardon).

Billed as a hair fragrance with beautifying benefits, we can attest that this lightweight oil is way more than a perfume. The Kérastase Oleo-Complexe uses four oils—amila, maize, camellia, and argan—to soften the hair and add non-greasy, mirror-like shine (which, yes, it totally does), and you can use it through the ends of damp hair before styling or dry hair as a finishing touch or a smoothing touch-up throughout the day. You can also use it as a deep conditioning steam treatment or mix a few pumps with your conditioner for a boost of hydration, making it a serious heavy hitter if there ever was one.

It would be remiss to go without describing the scent, so here it is: Like the eau de parfums we use every day, the oil has top, middle, and bottom notes, so it’s unique and complex rather than a one-note fragrance—as it should be, considering it was designed by Alberto Morillas, the master perfumer partially responsible for cK One among many, many others. Lime, cardamom, and green tulips dominate the initial scent, with tea rose, peony, and magnolia in the middle, and finally a base of blonde wood, cedar, and musk. It’s fresh and subtle and non-cloying, and it smells expensive, which it is, but if you’re going to shell out on a hair fragrance, it better be worth it.

One last thing: the Parfum Chronologiste Oil is limited edition, a “while supplies last” type of deal, so what are you waiting for? Make some moves, and revel in your delightfully-scented hair until the end of time. (Okay, maybe not, but the bottle is pretty big.)
