Warning: This braid requires a little more skill.
The waterfall braid has been everywhere lately. However, I have never seen one done on each side of the head and then tied together in the back to create one braid. Here’s the step-by-step to get it.
How To (And Not To) Create A Heidi Braid
Step 1: It was all about creating a casual vibe at The Teen Choice Awards. Get that feel by starting with a messy center part.
Step 2: Use a 2-inch curling iron to create Dobrev’s loose messy waves.
Step 3: Create a waterfall braid on one side of the head, finishing directly in the back of the head. Hold with a clip for the time being. (If you don’t know how to make a waterfall braid, check out my how-to here!)
Step 4: Create the same waterfall braid on the other side.
Step 5: Removing the clip from the other braid, attach the two by looping and creating a knot.
Step 6: Finish by spraying the entire style with a light hairspray, such as Paul Mitchell Super Clean Light Hold Finishing Spray ($16, Drugstore.com).
What do you think of Nina’s addition to her otherwise plain strands?
