8 Must-See Beauty Looks From Copenhagen Fashion Week

The Danes sure love drama.
Best Beauty Looks at Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2016

Some of our favorite fashion bloggers happen to hail from Scandinavia, but they’re not the only source of style inspiration to come out of Denmark lately. Last week, the country hosted its biannual Copenhagen Fashion Week, showcasing Spring 2016 fashion collections—along with some standout beauty looks. From graphic eyes to glamorous retro waves, you won’t want to miss these inspiring hair and makeup combos.

By the looks of these bountiful wreath-like headpieces at Tatiana Andersen Camre, flower crowns aren’t going anywhere anytime soon—they’re just getting a more rustic, forest-nymph feel with fresh sprigs of greenery. You’ll want to bookmark these as inspiration for next year’s festival circuit.

Raise your hand if the serpentine strands slicked onto models‘ faces at Maikel Tawadros reminded you of the stylized, plastered bangs seen at DKNY’s Spring 2015 show. High-contrast dots of highlighter in the inner eye corners completed the cool cyber-punk look.

Wet-look hair was clearly a trend at Copenhagen Fashion Week, seeing as it appeared again at BARBARA I GONGINI in the form of dramatic side-parted waves. The smudgy Black Swan-inspired eye makeup was so dramatic, it stood out from behind a curtain of hair.

The deep side parts at Freya Dalsjø were swooped into a soft, one-sided victory roll that’s not only romantic, but a great way to style your bangs as you’re growing them out.

We love seeing really out-there beauty looks during any Fashion Week, and the basket-weave braids at Nichols Nybro certainly qualify. Once we wrap our brains around how those straw pieces stay put, we might actually try this technique as a fun party hairstyle with ribbon or tinsel.

As demonstrated at Mark Kenly Domino Tan, there’s nothing more modern and effortlessly chic than a bright orange lip on an otherwise bare.

Tan had another look on his runway that caught our eye: bold green eye makeup in a clean, graphic shape. We love how the blunt bangs frame the architectural makeup even more.

Heavy, dramatic smoky eyes gave rock ‘n’ roll edge to frizzy, disco-ready curls at Stasia.
