This $13 Blush From Walmart Will Give You a Serious Post-O Glow

The secret? A glow-y pink blush from Walmart.

Because I’m an unapologetic hoarder when it comes to beauty, it’s safe to say most of my makeup purchases are done in a highly impulsive manner while roaming around Sephora, the drugstore, Target, a department store, or pretty much anywhere else where products are sold. Which is how I came to discover my new favorite all-time blush that—as I’ve learned—is adept at imparting that elusive post-orgasm glow that women are always seeking.

While down in Florida recently, I found myself killing time in a Walmart stocking up on things I unequivocally did not need (an Archie comic may or may not have found its way into my cart. Not kidding.) When I got to the beauty department, I found myself face to face with the pinkest, most vibrant shade of blush I’d ever seen.

I wasn’t only transfixed by its stylish, almost-neon hue—inexpensive makeup rarely looks this pigmented—but also the fact that it’s called Transforming Touch Powder-to-Crème Blush. Yep, it starts out as a loose powder and transforms into a creamy stain as it’s applied—so ’90s, and so much fun.

Another bonus: It’s from Flower Cosmetics, Drew Barrymore‘s makeup line exclusively sold at Walmart that gets  stellar reviews across the board, so I didn’t think twice about spending the $12.98.

Turns out, this blush is more than an impulse buy—it’s a game-changer. Unlike powder blush, which I always have trouble blending unless I mix it with highlighter, this formula sunk right into my skin and, unlike typical cream blush, it’s got a fairly matte finish.

After using it once, I noticed that my often dull complexion had a subtle, charming flush, almost as if I was out in the cold for just the right amount of time—or just did something else that’s known to give you a perfectly pink glow.
