Mariah Carey x MAC Is Now a Thing (and It’s Amazing)
Whether you genuinely enjoy her music or cringe every time “Always Be My Baby” comes on the radio, you must admit: Mariah Carey is a national treasure. Talented, over-the-top, not afraid of a little drama—she’s the real deal, with a larger-than-life persona that reminds us how celebrities used to be before everyone was scrubbed by PR teams and pitched as a “role model.”
Given her undeniable fierceness and signature beauty look that’s so ’90s in the best way possible, we’re almost shocked that it took her this long to snag a MAC collab. Available online in December, All I Want Lipstick is described as a “champagne shimmer frost” (of course champagne is involved), and it’s just a prelude to Mariah’s upcoming Beauty Icon collection, which will arrive in 2016.

“[Mariah] exudes elegance, glamour, sophistication, and [a] sense of fun,” says MAC Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director James Gager.
That’s for sure; we find it hard to believe that we could ever rock a Mariah-approved shimmery lipstick and not have the time of our lives. Everything she touches turns to gold … or champagne.
