Bring on the Glamour: Zac Posen Is Teaming Up with MAC Cosmetics
If you’re looking for a designer who knows how to bring serious glamour season after season, Zac Posen‘s your guy. Plus, his breathtaking designs aren’t complete without a perfectly sculpted hairstyle or bold beauty look—he’s one of the few in the industry to never let a bare face walk the runway. Posen ensures that at every single show, his entire look makes an impact.
It makes perfect sense, then, that he’s teaming up with MAC Cosmetics (finally!) after working with the brand for years—starting with his very first runway collection, to be exact. The line will debut on shelves in February 2016. From the campaign shots, we can tell Posen will have the vivid lipstick hues he so loves to include in his runway shows, as well as a liquid liner, an eye palette, and a cheek palette.
Of teaming up with MAC, Posen said, “Over the past 15 years, I have learned a great deal from MAC about beauty. Fashion and beauty go hand in hand, and I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand. It was only natural to work with MAC to create my first-ever signature collection. I wanted to keep it luxurious, a little mysterious, and clean—with a large dose of star wattage.”
The sleek packaging is a nice, simplistic take on the standard MAC collab. We just hope it’s a little lighter than the Prabal Gurung line’s packaging—those were vanity pieces, not purse pieces.
We’re sure these will be used backstage during Posen’s February fashion show since the line will be hitting stores shortly after, and we’ll be sure to update as we see what the products can do!
