Here’s How to Copy the Lip Color of the Moment
If there’s one lip color that defines fall year after year, it’s berry. Effortlessly flattering and versatile enough to pair with just about any look, it’s no wonder it’s a perennial favorite—or why it’s a favorite right now. The season is in full swing, which means red carpets are all but saturated with dark lipstick, and they’re running the gamut from deep, dark mahogany shades to sheer, easy-to-wear pinkish hues.

A deep, true berry shade like this one falls just short of the goth-inspired side of things, which puts it at the perfect level of drama for anyone who wants to wear a dark lip that’s not too far out of the average comfort zone. It’s especially striking if you have fair skin and dark hair like Lily Collins: so pretty, so perfect for fall. Berry lipstick doesn’t necessarily have to be dark and dramatic—in fact, it’s equally suited to softer looks as a universally flattering flash of color. Case in point: Kate Hudson‘s rosy lip color, which has a natural satiny, slightly sheer finish that looks great with an otherwise fresh face.
