Google has released their 2015 Year in Trends Report, and unsurprisingly, beauty made a big showing. Because let’s be real: when you have a beauty question, you ask your search engine first. Google won’t ever judge you for not knowing how to overdraw your lips, after all. So let’s take a look back at the biggest beauty search terms, stories and people of 2015. We love celebrities, and 2015 was a banner year for Hollywood—and the related Google searches. When it came to the red carpet, the world was most stoked on Lupita Nyong’o’s elegant style, Jennifer Lopez’s supremely sexy (and always surprising) choices and Scarlett Johanssen’s fashion and beauty transformation. Ruby Rose, Amy Schumer and Taraji P. Henson were—completely correctly—the most searched actresses, while the amazing Adele was the year’s most trending musician. Apparently people were also extremely stoked on Sofia Vergara and Joe Mangianello’s wedding, and Zooey Deschanel’s pregnancy.
Elsewhere in pop culture, Jessica Jones, Empire and Quantico were three of the most searched TV shows of the year—and they also happen to be the programs we haven’t been able to stop watching. Seriously, we’re going through Jessica Jones for the second time already.
And even though she didn’t drop an album this year, Rihanna was one of the most searched-for gifs of 2015. And with results like this…
