Olympic Contenders Model For CoverGirl

Who says athletes don’t care about makeup? I’ve been a runner for the past 11 years and I have a special place in my heart for fuchsia lipstick and a good pair of adiddas running socks. That’s why I love to see that CoverGirl has chosen two Olympic contenders for their newest cover girls, proving that women can be strong, sexy and dare I say, feminine?
Look And Feel Like A Bombshell In Bed
The new faces of CoverGirl, volleyball player Jennifer Kessy and boxer Marlen Esparza, will both be competing in the 2012 London Olympics this summer.
“We are athletes and in turn we are the everyday women,” Kessy told People magazine. “CoverGirl is celebrating the fact that beauty and feminity can come in so many forms. To be able to convey this to girls and women is a very good feeling.”
Through the print and TV ads, the athletes will be promoting LashBlast Volume Mascara and Outlast All-Day Lipcolor that will be available in stores this May.
More companies should follow in CoverGirl’s footsteps. There is more than one form of beauty, contrary to what the media would have you believe. Personally, I believe there is nothing more beautiful than confidence. What do you think of CoverGirl’s new ad campaign?
