Madonna Launches Footwear Line with Aldo

Madonna is taking over the retail world. First, with her Material Girl clothing line, her Truth or Dare fragrance out next month, and now with her new Fall shoes at Aldo.

The line will be complete with 60 pairs, everything from flats, heels, booties and over-the-knee boots running from $89 to $349. Expect to see typical Madonna embellishments, such as studs and cap-toe details. Next up for the new line is a collection of intimates that will hit stores later this year, as well as legwear and accessories to launch in 2013.
“Her fingers are really on this brand,” Arianne Phillips, Truth or Dare‘s creative director and Madonna’s stylist, told Footwear News. “You can always depend on her to bring her style and provocateur quality, but she also has a very feminine perspective.”

Keep an eye out for next month’s print and online advertisements starring the pop star herself. Madonna and her backup dancers will also be wearing modified versions of the shoes on her summer tour.
The line will be sold at Nordstrom, Asos.com and Macy’s as well as in the U.K and Canada. Will you be checking out the collection this fall or has the celebrity “designers” trend gotten old?
