New Year, New You!

Happy New Year everyone, and for all of those who want to make New Year’s resolutions for this coming 2011, let’s try focusing on the positive. Here are some of my favorite positive beauty resolutions that are easy to do and cannot only help ourselves, but others as well.

My first suggestion is to promise not to tear your self down anymore. From this moment forward, try to avoid saying anything negative about yourself like, “I hate my dark circles” or “My skin looks gross”. Try using only positive words and thoughts about the fabulous new you in 2011 and watch as confidence starts to crawl into your day-to-day life.

Another great resolution is to promise to compliment one woman each and every day. Whether she has beautiful skin or is wearing great outfit, let these ladies know it! It will boost their self esteem and make you feel good about yourself too.

One of my favorite fun resolutions is to promise yourself to think outside of the box when it comes to your basic makeup routine and take a chance. Go for that amazing red lipstick you have always dreamed of wearing or play up your eyes with a smoky purple hue that you are always too nervous to try. Yes, you can get away with it, and it’s good to bust out of your makeup rut from time to time. It is just makeup, so go ahead and have some fun! So this new year add a few positive beauty resolutions to your list and watch 2011 unfold to be your best year ever!
