Hudson Williams has been here, there, and everywhere lately. He’s evidently booked and busy, but it turns out, amid his chaotic schedule, Williams finds the time (and counter space) to maintain a comprehensive beauty routine.
It all started with Williams’ comically unhinged, 19-minute skincare routine video with The Cut going viral, which was accompanied by an interview with The Cut. Both pieces of media cemented the star’s status as a product snob (we love a beauty-obsessed king who doesn’t gatekeep!), which he says he inevitably inherited from his Korean auntie and family members.

He actually has pretty simple morning and nighttime routines, but he leaves room to incorporate additional formulas depending on what his skin needs each day. Shu Uemura Porefinist2 Sakura Refreshing Cleansing Oil
Because Williams is a firm believer in double-cleansing (AKA an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser), he starts his nighttime skincare routine with Shu Uemura’s Porefinist2 Sakura Refreshing Cleansing Oil (he owns the giant bottle, and restocks it often). He uses one pump to massage the product all over his face and pays a little extra attention to his nose for blackheads. The actor notes that you should be careful around your eyes, since that area has more delicate skin. He also adds that you can go over the oil with a gua sha to calm face puffiness. Rinse it off with warm water, and there goes all the dirt, makeup, and oil from your complexion. On the night of his video shoot with The Cut, Williams assessed his complexion and felt his skin needed something that could help tackle acne. “I’m going to use salicylic acid because it takes away my old blemishes. I think it peels it or something, or it does something where it just rejuvenates,” he says in the same video. He adds that he only uses this product when he’s not using a retinol. This is important to note, since the two work against each other when applied at the same time, and can therefore cause irritation.

Williams says he’s huge on lip care and turns to none other than Aquaphor. “This is like a secret because this works better than Laneige for your lips,” he tells The Cut as he films his GRWM. “This sh— works.” You can see the actor apply a tiny dot to his pout, and he advises viewers to wipe the corners of their mouth afterwards so it doesn’t look like you drooled on yourself.
