True Story: Tyra Banks’ Makeup Remover Wipes Are Amazing
I never expected to fall in love with a product from Tyra Banks‘ beauty line—while yes, she’s a gorgeous entrepreneur, I’ve never really had luck with celebrity-made products. But when I received her Pop It Clean Makeup Remover Wipes, I was so intrigued by the packaging I had to know more.
Considering the fact that I’ve been in the beauty industry for years, it takes a good amount of innovation to really pique my interest—I like a matte lipstick or smudge-proof liquid liner as much as the next girl, but show me a Foreo LUNA face brush and I’m wowed. So, when I saw this tiny little plastic container about the size of a lip balm that claimed to be a wipe, I started to get excited.
I immediately grabbed three out of the package (which comes with a set of 12 for $12.50) and brought them home to try out. Meant for travel, the wipes are in a recyclable single-use carton–ideal for popping into your purse or suitcase at the last minute. The sticker on the container tells you to “press here firmly on a flat surface” so I did precisely that–and was pretty shocked at what happened. Quite simply, the container actually does “Pop” and the wipe comes out in a bit of a snake shape. You then unwrap your makeup remover wipe and get down to business. The wipe itself is even great quality–no residue was left behind, something I hate in many wipes out there today.
For someone who takes a lot of short work trips and weekend getaways, these will be a constant makeup bag mainstay.
