Before her relationship with Valente, who was her son’s jiu-jitsu instructor, Bündchen, who rose to fame as Victoria’s Secret supermodel, was famously married to Tom Brady for thirteen years. The pair filed for divorce in October of 2022 with reports indicating Brady’s decision to announce his retirement from the NFL only to then change his mind shortly after was one of the main reasons for the split.

Valente and Bündchen were first linked shortly after her divorce from Brady, though sources indicate the two didn’t start dating until June 2023. They confirmed their relationship in February 2024 and reports that they were expecting a baby together surfaced at the end of October.

There’s been confirmation that Bündchen is pregnant, but no reports on the sex of the baby. In fact, reports indicate the couple will wait for delivery to discover the sex of the baby. That means we won’t find out if the baby is a boy or a girl until they’re born and Bündchen and Valente announce it.
Bündchen’s decision tracks with her previous views on the subject. She, after all, waited until delivery to learn the sex in her previous two pregnancies, with son Benjamin and daughter Vivian.

News of the pregnancy was reported by PEOPLE in a statement that read, “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.” Reports later indicated Bündchen had given a heads-up to ex-husband Tom Brady before the announcement went public, so he wouldn’t have to find out on social media.
Bündchen and Brady have remained cordial co-parents since the divorce, and Valente is reported to get along with Bündchen’s kids. As for Brady, he reportedly isn’t friendly with Valente, but according to the Daily Mail, there’s no great animosity between them either. “Tom and Joaquim are not friends — but Joaquim is around his kids, so Tom has to find the good in him and does believe he is a good guy. If Joaquim ever becomes a father figure to his kids, Tom will be able to adapt.”
Considering the news and the way it’s been reported it looks like Brady will have to adapt sooner rather than later.
