Prince William is standing firm with Kate Middleton’s schedule. The Prince of Wales is looking out for his wife’s health and wellbeing after she’s completed her cancer treatment.

A source close to the Royals explained the current dynamic between the Wales. “Kate’s longing to get out there and make up for lost time and help as many causes and individuals as she possibly can now that she’s got her strength back. She’s also anxious to pitch in and support King Charles and Queen Camilla, who’s also been poorly,” a royal source told the Heat (via The Mirror).

However, Prince William wants to take things very slow for his wife to ease her back into normalcy. “For obvious reasons, he wants this to be put in perspective alongside her own recovery,” they said. “He’s putting his foot down and urging Kate to draft a schedule that puts herself first, no excuses.”

The source said that William wants her aides to offload Kate’s workload so that she won’t”overdo it and put her health at risk,” adding that she’s “still fragile.” They continued, “He’s urging Kate to stay focused on her steady recovery rather than putting too much on her plate. He just wants to be sure she feels supported without unnecessary pressure.”

Princess Kate Middleton was diagnosed with an unnamed cancer in early 2024. She completed her chemotherapy in September 2024. The couple made their first official appearance after her treatment in Southport, a town in the northwest of England, on October 11, 2024.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” Kate said in a video statement. She’s set to make an appearance in her annual Christmas Carol special on December 6, 2024.
