Colman Domingo’s husband is Raúl Domingo. The two met when Colman spotted his future husband in a Walgreens parking lot in Berkeley and he was smitten by his eyes. Raúl was on the way to a party and Colman tried to wave to him. The actor then saw a post on Craigslist on the Missed Connections section with the title “I saw you outside of Walgreens in Berkeley…” Colman clicked on the link and the rest was history. “I literally jumped out of my chair when I saw the post,” he told GQ. And in the afternoon, he arrived to an email with the subject line. “To the sweet angel with the most arresting eyes…”
The two spent a lot of time together and immediately fell in love after their first date where they asked each other questions: “Barbara Walters-style.” The two got married when they invited their 25 closest friends over to their house disguised as a house party while they were wearing Hawaiian shirts for their nuptials and danced until 4 in the morning.
