The Saltburn actor and Girl Meets World alum were first linked in December 2023 after reportedly meeting at the Givenchy show during Paris Fashion Week. They confirmed the relationship when Barry starred in her music video for “Please Please Please” where they both played criminals on the run a lá Bonnie and Clyde. Talk about a hard launch! When she finally released her Short n Sweet album, the Irish actor made several appearances, most notably in “Bed Chem” in which she pointed out his “thick accent” and “oversized”…er, you know.
On December 3, 2024, People reported that the two have parted ways. “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” a source told the site. But before the announcement, infidelity rumors involving Barry Keoghan plagued social media.

Barry did not cheat on Sabrina Carpenter. An unconfirmed blind item from DeuxMoi has made the rounds on social media sites well before the People story broke.
The message with the subject title “The cute boy with the thick accent proved them right” read: “It appears that this A-list singer who’s having her breakout year and her foreign actor boyfriend are done for good. On the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cozy at San Vicente Bungalows with a blonde, semi famous, LA based influencer (who’s particularly big on tiktok)”
According to the blind item, Keoghan had allegedly been texting and “chatting with said influencer behind her back for months in a no-innocent-at-all-way.” Sabrina is allegedly keeping the situation under wraps until January “because he next single is a steamy song inspired by their relationship and she’s already filmed a music video with very obvious references to him.”
Influencer Breckie Hill was speculated to be the woman he cheated on. However, she publicly commented on the rumors days after they emerged. “I just recently got out of the hospital. I got into a skiing accident and I broke my spine,” Hill, 21, said in a Saturday, December 7, TikTok video. “Now that I’m out of the hospital, I just wanted to make this video and address these rumors that have been circulating all throughout the internet.”
“To put it simply for you all, no, I did not get with Barry. I have never encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV from watching Saltburn,” she said. “I reposted this video [of the rumors] that showed up on my ‘For You Page,’ claiming that I was home-wrecking Sabrina Carpenter’s relationship just simply because I thought it was so ridiculous,” Hill explained in her video. “I’m sorry, but if I really was the one getting with Barry, why in the world would I be reposting about it?”
