There’s a Rumor Elon Musk Is the Father of Amber Heard’s Twins After Reports He Wanted Her to ‘Destroy’ Their Embryos Years Ago
Amber Heard is expanding her family! The mom-of-one just announced she’s a mom-ofthree, more than two years after her highly publicized trial against her ex Johnny Depp.
SA spokesperson for Heard announced the news and told People, “It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage. Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.” But many people still want to know who the father is to Amber Heard’s first daughter. Here’s what she’s said about her daughter and parenthood.
Who Is Amber Heard’s baby’s father?
It is not known who the father of Amber Heard’s babies is. Amber had Oonagh via surrogate pregnancy, but the Danish Girl actress said that she is both the “mom and dad” to her baby in an Instagram post of her holding her baby in front of a laptop.
Amber announced the existence of her first baby Oonagh Paige in an Instagram post on July 2021. In her caption, she said, “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
She also stated that she wants privacy for her little one. “A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business,” she continued. “I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.”
Heard shared the same sentiments when she announced that she had twins on Mother’s Day. “Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang,” she wrote on Instagram. “My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full. When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!! Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully. To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you.”
Amber Heard was married to Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2017. Following their divorce, The Stand actress wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 about her experiences with domestic abuse. Although she did not mention a name in the article, the public speculated that she was referring to her ex-husband Johnny. Johnny sued Amber in 2019 for defamation, claiming that the op-ed article ruined his career and took away his acting opportunities, as well as his long-standing role in Pirates of the Caribbean. Their trial began on April 8, 2022, in Fairfax, VA.
By the end of the trial, Heard was found liable in all three matters of defamation raised. Depp was awarded $10 million (of the $50 million claim) in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages (reduced to $350,000 per state limit). During her testimony on May 17, 2022, Amber said, “I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too.” The family of two moved two Spain shortly after.

Shortly after the birth of her twins, many people speculated that the babies’ father was Elon Musk. In April 2025, the Daily Mail reported that a close friend of Heard’s sister, Jennifer Howell, alleged that Heard had been “in a legal battle with [Musk] over embryos they had created together… He wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to keep them to have a baby.” One person on Reddit posted, “My gut says that might be why they got into a lawsuit over it. I couldn’t find it on the fly but I remember it was reported that she won the embryos in a lawsuit and they’re legally hers to do what she pleases. I get the feeling maybe she wanted a girl and he didn’t. These are unauthorized Elon babies.” Like with her baby Oonaugh, Heard will likely never reveal the father of the baby.
