Justin Baldoni has been at the eye of the storm the past few days after reports surfaced that he sexually harassed his co-star Blake Lively and then engaged in a campaign to smear the leading lady of the film he directed, It Ends With Us. Before the latest allegations, however, Baldoni was already a familiar name in Hollywood, even if he was nowhere near the same level as Blake Lively in terms of stardom.
Ironically, Baldoni’s entire persona has been built around projects that inspire social change, and promote authentic storytelling, which means the latest accusations have a chance to really damage how Baldoni is seen, and his bottom line as a result. It’s not every day that thousands of pages of messages from a crisis management firm in your employ planning how to negatively frame a woman you are working with online are made public.

A statement by the studio attorney, Bryan Freedman, basically admitted to the planning of the measures against Lively, but denied they ever took place, “What is pointedly missing from the cherry-picked correspondence is the evidence that there were no proactive measures taken with media or otherwise; just internal scenario planning and private correspondence to strategize which is standard operating procedure with public relations professionals.” He also called the allegations “categorically false.”
In the midst of this scandal regarding Baldoni, his production company, and his role as a director and star in the Colleen Hoover adaptation it ends with us, how much is Justin Baldoni worth? And does the Blake Lively legal complaint have a chance of changing those numbers?

Baldoni is both an actor and a director, better known for his role as Rafael Solano in the CW series Jane the Virgin. According to Celebrity Net Worth he’s worth $4 million, with a fair bit of it coming not just from his salaries as an actor, but his work as a director, producer, and social entrepreneur. Not a bad number, but certainly nowhere near close to Blake Lively’s reported net worth of $30 million, which just takes into account her assets and not the communal assets she shares with her husband Ryan Reynolds, who is reportedly worth around $350 million.
Before his breakthrough role, Baldoni made appearances in The Young and the Restless and Heroes while working as a model and appearing in commercials. The director of It Ends With Us, who co-owns and co-chairs production company Wayfarer Studios, which was behind the Colleen Hoover adaptation, has increasingly focused on work behind the camera in the last few years, with a specific dedication to projects that “challenge traditional masculinity norms,” which include his directorial debut Five Feet Apart and the movie Clouds.
This is partly why the legal complaint filed by Lively, who he directed and co-starred with in It Ends With Us might end up affecting Baldoni’s bottom line, in the long run. He was already dropped from WME, his talent agency, in the wake of the legal complaint and the publicity it has garnered. And though, at the time, public opinion seemed firmly on Baldoni’s site, it all seems to have shifted to a greater understanding of Blake Lively’s point of view. Plus, the fact that his production company, and its CEO, Jamey Heath, is also named in the complaint could affect the company’s profits too.
Baldoni, who married Swedish actress Emily Fuxler in 2013 and has two children, also owns a 10-acre property in Santa Paula, California, which the couple paid $2.125 million for in 2020.
