Why Did Paige & Craig Split? The Real Reason the Bravo Stars Broke Up
It’s out with the old, and in with the new. Ever since news broke that Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover, bravo fans have wondered the real reason behind their split. The Summer House and Southern Charm stars broke up after three years together just before 2025. The news was revealed by DeSorbo on her podcast with Hannah Berner “Giggly Squad” on December 30.
The two first began dating in October of 2021 and have been together ever since. They recently spent Thanksgiving together and seemed to be going strong despite their long-distance relationship— DeSorbo lives in New York City and Conover in Charleston, SC. “I love that Paige and I are on this parallel track of just working hard,” Conover told Page Six a few weeks ago. “I mean, she’s the hardest worker I know,” even teasing that he was going to be spending more time in New York in the future.

However, the trailer for the new season of Summer House, showed DeSorbo talking about the possible breakup, telling co-star Ciara Miller, “Me and Craig are gonna break up, and everything I have will, like, go away,” while wiping away tears. “It’s just a lot.”
But why did Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover break up? And when did they split? Were they keeping it under wraps waiting for the optimal time to announce it, considering their shows’ airing schedules? Here’s what we know
Why did Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover break up?
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” DeSorbo said on the podcast. “I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends,” she added. “No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”
DeSorbo had nothing but good things to say about he now ex, Conover, but also seemed certain this was the right decision for the two of them right now. She also referred to speculation that they’d broken up a while ago and hid so they could announce it when the publicity from the split would benefit both their shows.

“No one can tell me what to do,” she said. “The network has power, but they don’t have that much power. So, that was not a real thing. Rumors of us breaking up months ago — again, also not a real thing.” She, however, did not confirm when exactly the two decided to go their separate ways or give a specific reason why the two reached that decision after three years together.
Conover has yet to say anything publicly about the split, but considering how complimentary DeSorbo was even when announcing their breakup, it feels like there’s little else to be said.
“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. Like, I can truly say that,” she shared with her listeners. “He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it almost is harder when no one’s done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard.”
Paige DeSorbo seemingly shut down cheating rumors in a simple comment. A TikTok user alleged that DeSorbo “cheated” on Conover with an “internet personality,” though he did not reveal who. “See you in court,” she replied.
Months after the news of their split, DeSorbo hinted on the Summer House After Show that issues in her and Craig’s communication also played a part in the end of their relationship. “Looking back on it now, probably from the jump, did we have great communication? Probably not,” Paige said. “I think Craig very much gave me like the… because I am more straightforward and stern and I don’t sugarcoat as much, it was like, ‘You’re harsh.’ So I would kind of have to stay more quiet when he would voice his opinions because he would always take it as a personal attack.”
Summer House Season 9 also saw Craig and Paige disagree over her career, specifically her “Giggly Squad” tour in 2024 that took time away from their relationship. “I want to make sure that as we continue to get busier — you’re about to go on tour — that we continue to make each other and our relationship a priority, and we don’t let it slip,” Craig told Paige on Summer House.
During the Summer House After Show, Paige admitted that she felt Craig wanted to be her “number one” priority, which he would have never been after her career and kids. “Even if I marry you, my kids are gonna come before you anyway, so you’ll always be third. You’ll always be third,” she said.
When asked if Craig had a “different version” of her in his mind, Paige responded, “Who knows? I’d love to meet her! Here’s the other thing: Sometimes he’d be like, ‘You talk really dirty on your podcast,’ or ‘You swear a lot,’ whatever, so I don’t think he really … you know.”
Paige also admitted that there were times when she felt like she couldn’t tell Craig what was going on in her career because of his sensitivities. “When I would get certain milestones, no, I wouldn’t tell him because I knew he would want to be happy for him but I know deep down he would not be. So no, I would not say certain things,” she said.
