Nikki Glaser is, first and foremost, known for being funny. Perhaps that makes her a good choice to host the 2025 and 2026 Golden Globes, the show that kicks off the Awards season in 2025. Glaser, who is a stand-up comedian, actress, writer, producer, and podcast and radio host is stepping into some big shoes hosting the show. But she’s also stepping in to do so after the awards show had gone through a fair bit of controversy and is looking to clean up its image, which is why a comedian who made her name in celebrity roasts seems like a strange choice.
But Glaser isn’t exactly a new face in Hollywood—she has appeared in the films Punching the Clown, Trainwreck, Punching Henry and I Feel Pretty as well as the television series Inside Amy Schumer, Adam Ruins Everything, A.P. Bio, Alone Together, and Historical Roasts. She has also written, hosted, and produced MTV’s Nikki & Sara Live and Comedy Central’s Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. In 2021, she began hosting and producing FBoy Island on Max. That’s without counting stand-up comedy specials, or The Nikki Glaser Podcast.
The point is, Glaser is everywhere, so her being at the Golden Globes isn’t a surprise, even if her being at the Golden Globes now might feel like one. But perhaps the vibes of the Golden Globes this year are going to be a little like that Netflix Tom Brady roast. If so, everyone should probably prepare themselves.
One thing is for sure, Glaser’s high profile, which is certain to rise after this new hosting gig, does raise the question of how much Glaser is worth and how much hosting the Golden Globes could bring her. So, what is Nikki Glaser’s net worth? Here’s what we know.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Glaser’s net worth is approximately $10 million. Part of the reason why is that she’s got her hand in everything—she’s done acting, writing, producing, podcasts, and stand-up comedy and she will now host the Golden Globes. Not that Glaser thought she’d ever be where she is. In fact, she had her January all planned out, and it certainly didn’t include the possibility of hosting an awards show.
“So, for January 2025, I was going to possibly have, like, a brow lift or some kind of, like, really invasive surgery that I’ve been, you know, looking into getting,” she told CBS News. That was, of course, before two of her agents called her. “And when it’s two, you know it’s good news, because when it’s bad news, they just make one person do it, ’cause no one wants to do that! And they’re like, ‘So, this operation, is there any way you could push it ’til maybe the second week of January?'”
Considering what it was for, she did. And now she’s set to bring her own unique blend of humor to one of the biggest stages she’s ever had a chance to display it on. “I’m gonna nail it,” she also told CBS News. “Maybe I won’t nail it in some people’s eyes, but I will have nailed it in my eyes because I have set up a system leading up to it that I couldn’t possibly work harder on it.”
There have been no reports indicating how much Glaser is being paid to host the Awards show, but Jerrod Carmichael, host of the 2023 Golden Globes, said in his opening monologue that he was making $500,000, so we can expect Glaser to earn at least that. Not a bad number, at all.
