Mikey Madison’s Ex-Boyfriends ‘Reached Out’ to Her After She Became Popular From Anora—But Is She Single?
Mikey Madison is one of 2024 and 2025’s most promising rising stars out there. After she starred in the critically acclaimed film Anora, many people want to know what her dating history is like—but she keeps it private for a very good reason.
Mikey, who appeared in films like Scream 5 and Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood, worked extensively with director Sean Baker for her role as the exotic dancer Anora “Ani” Mikheeva. “I had never had the opportunity to completely transform in this way before. I had never had a director see me in this way, to give me this opportunity to play a character unlike any character I’ve ever played,” she told WWD.

She continued, “And so I certainly put quite a bit of pressure on myself to really buckle down and do the work. I dedicated all my time to it. But I was excited about everything that Ani is. I was excited to research her work. I was excited to create her personal life and her backstory, her morals, who she is as a person and learn Russian and have this different dialect, all of it new to me. I saw it as a challenge and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Mikey Madison is currently single. She has not had any public relationships. However, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she said that she’s been in contact with ex-boyfriends who saw her rise to fame. When asked about how her life has changed, she expressed some disappointment in old flames coming back to reach out to her. “I think some of it doesn’t seem super genuine. Like old friends coming out of the woodwork. Ex-boyfriends reaching out to me, ‘Hey, wanna grab a coffee or something.’ Why? Because you’ve seen me on billboards?”
Though she does remain private in her dating life, she shares a really common belief of love at first sight. In a rapid-fire round on the Drew Barrymore Show with her Scream co-stars, she asserts that she believes in it, “Yes, of course.”
As for whether Mikey has any social media presence, she chooses to not have a digital footprint. She told Bustle, “It’s just not something that feels authentic or natural to me, and I don’t think I would have anything very impactful to add to social media.”
She continued, “I’m a very sensitive person, so I think it’s also protective to not be online. I don’t think you’re supposed to be reading the things people are saying about you. I think that that’s not natural, and it’s not human to be looking at all of these very curated images. I have lots of thoughts about it, but I don’t think I’ve ever put it into words before. But I know myself, and I think keeping myself ignorant to that part of the Internet is probably healthier for me.”
