It seems like the crowd is not cheering from the bleachers. In fact, they’re booing Taylor Swift. The superstar attended Super Bowl LIX to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, but those in attendance weren’t impressed.
Taylor Swift arrived in style and with a band of her famous friends. Ice Spice and Haim were sitting in the suite with The Tortured Poets Society singer, and her best Blake Lively (who attended the Super Bowl last year) was noticeably missing. Taylor’s attendance was one of the pinnacles for Super Bowl speculations with rumors that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was going to propose to her.
Early on in the game, Taylor was blasted on the big screen at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La. More than half of the crowd booed her immediately, but how did the singer take it?

Taylor just had three simple words: “What’s going on?” She had a look of shock on her face while glaring at Ice Spice and the crowd, and the moment immediately went viral.
Taylor wasn’t the only celebrity booed at the Super Bowl. When Jon Hamm was making his introductory remarks for the Kansas City Chiefs, the crowd emerged in a chorus of “boos” and yelling. Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper, who introduced the Philadelphia Eagles, was met with more cheers and praise. So it’s safe to say that the majority of the stadium are Eagles fans and the reason why Taylor got booed was because of her allegiance to the Chiefs.
Many fans went online to react to the moment. “Booing Taylor Swift as if she’s playing on the field against ‘your’ team, even though she’s just sitting there looking pretty, is loser behavior,” one fan wrote on X. Even the GOAT of tennis Serena Williams expressed support for her friend. “I love you @taylorswift13,” she shared on X. “Don’t listen to those booo!!!”
