Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who recently passed away at the age of 39, was a very well-known star, ever since she was a kid. Her first role was at the age of three, on the Nickelodeon television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and from there she went on to star in Harriet the Spy. This means she was a familiar face for viewers even before the roles that made her famous as an adult.

Playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s younger sister Dawn Summers and later antagonist Georgina Sparks in the show Gossip Girl cemented Trachtenberg as a successful teen star, and in the 2000s she also went on to star in movies like EuroTrip (2004) and Ice Princess (2005), a successful career by any measure.

The actress spent some time away from the cameras, but in 2022 she reprised her role of Georgina Sparks in the new Gossip Girl, and there were rumors she could return during the recently announced Buffy the Vampire Slayer continuation series, which is set to feature Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played Trachtenberg’s older sister.

But what was Trachtenberg’s net worth before she died? How did she make most of her money? And who will inherit her fortune? Here’s what we know.

Michelle Trachtenberg’s net worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Trachtenberg’s net worth was approximately $7 million at the time of her death. A decent number, though not close to the $30 million Sarah Michelle Gellar and Blake Lively—her costars in her two biggest shows, are worth. Most of Trachtenberg’s money comes from those two shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl.

She appeared in 66 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 28 episodes of Gossip Girl, and two of the reboot. There are no reports on how she made for either, but Charisma Carpenter was reported to make $35,000 per episode of the show at one point. She also appeared on shows like Meego and made appearances in Blue’s Clues and Reading Rainbow. Trachtenberg was also a panelist on the children’s game show Figure it Out and hosted the Discovery Kids program Truth or Scare from 2001 to 2003.

Even though they weren’t big roles, Trachtenberg also appeared in Six Feet Under, House, Weeds, Criminal Minds, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Sleepy Hollow and was credited as a voice actress in numerous episodes of the animated sketch comedy series Robot Chicken. She was also featured in a few web series and music videos. There are no reports of the actress having any property to her name

Trachtenberg’s death is reportedly not being investigated as suspicious according to Page Six. Her cause of death was not immediately known, though sources have indicated to ABC News that the actress “recently underwent a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications.” There have been no reports of what will happen to her state after her death.
