Andrew Garfield Attends Oscars With New Girlfriend on the Same Night as Former Flirtmance Amelia Dimoldenberg

Andrew Garfield had quite the reunion at the Oscars 2025. Garfield—who is a presenter at the 97th Academy Awards—attended the awards show on the same night as his new girlfriend Monica Barbaro, his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone, and his former flirtmance Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Barbaro, who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role as Joan Baez in A Complete Unknown, started dating in 2025, according to People. “They’ve been really lowkey and have been spending time together quietly,” an insider told the magazine in February 2025. The news came five months after Garfield and Dimoldenberg’s date on her YouTube show, Chicken Shop Date, in which they discussed their relationship (or lack thereof) after their viral interview at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards led fans to ship them.

“We can own that it’s been vibey,” Garfield told Dimoldenberg on the date, to which she responded, “Yeah it’s been vibey to the point where you’ve been avoiding me for two years because the vibes were too much for you to handle, so I’m actually surprised you’re here.” Despite their romantic chemistry—which Garfield confirmed was “flirting” on his part—Garfield and Dimoldenberg never officially dated. Months after their date, The Daily Mail confirmed that Dimoldenberg is dating movie producer Adam Faze, who also dated singer Olivia Rodrigo. Garfield, for his part, started dating Barbaro around the same time.
Garfield’s longtime ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone, also attended the 2025 Oscars. Stone—who won her second Oscar at the 2024 Academy Awards in the Best Actress category for her performance in Poor Things— was announced as a presenter for the 2025 awards show. Garfield and Stone—who played love interests in The Amazing Spider-Man movies—dated from 2011 to 2015. A source told Us Weekly in 2015 that the couple’s relationship ended due to the “dark” place Garfield was in while filming the movie Silence at the time. “He’d been in a dark place for months, getting into his role,” the insider said. “He wasn’t being the best partner.”
