Another day, another Bravo bombshell. Ever since the reveal that Stacey allegedly paid TJ to be her boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, fans have been desperate for the receipts to prove his claim.
As of writing, TJ hasn’t produced any receipts for his claim that Stacey paid him to be her boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9. However, he did allege he had some “earth-shattering news” to share in an Instagram video the day after the The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 reunion. “Old friends, new friends. What up y’all? I just got back from Phoenix. I was doing a play there about Alzheimer’s and I was getting a bunch of text messages because people were saying, ‘TJ, there was an earthquake in North Hollywood, are you OK?’ Because I live in Burbank and it was super close to where I live,” he said. “Speaking of earthquakes, it might by turn to share some earth-shattering news.”

Stacey, for her part, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live after the reunion that she didn’t believe TJ had receipts for his claim that she paid him to be on The Real Housewives of Potomac, otherwise he would have produced them already. “Why would I be excited for Eddie [Osefo] to come out with receipts if I believed he actually had receipts? I was like, ‘Bring them out. Let’s see.’ I never believed that someone I loved would behave that way,” Stacey said.
Stacey also revealed on Watch What Happens Live that she and TJ have been in contact ever since his assertion that she paid him to be her boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Potomac. “[I called him] immediately [after the reunion]. He was very remorseful. He was very emotional, and it was a hard call to have,” she said.
Stacey also doubled down on her story that she and TJ had a real relationship, as seen in their issues and how he mistreated her on camera. “I was in a real relationship with him, and he treated me very poorly, and to see that, to see him be so disrespectful, and to see him be definitely un-Christian and do this to me at the reunion, it was just jarring quite frankly,” she said. “It’s so obvious to me, and I hate to say this, but the ladies were right. He’s not the man for me. I was looking for love, and he was in love with being in front of the camera.” She continued, “Why would I pay someone to mistreat me? That makes no sense.”
Stacey also seemed to speculate that TJ lied about her paying him as retaliation for how he was edited on The Real Housewives of Potomac. “He was very upset about the way that he felt production portrayed him. Those were his worst moments. And those moments were hard to view,” she said. “Can you imagine how I felt being on the receiving end? My mother was calling me. My family was calling me to ask if I was okay, so I think the only way that he could rectify the situation was to say that it wasn’t real, that he was, in fact, acting.”
She also seemed to accuse him of using her to be on TV versus the other way around. “I broke up with him. I did not invite him to the reunion. He had to lie to get on the reunion to get camera time, that’s what he had to do to even get FaceTime, to tell a lie, because he wasn’t invited,” she said.
When asked if Stacey was worried that TJ could produce receipts confirming she paid him to be her boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Potomac, she responded, “Do I look worried?” She continued, “I live in my truth, and I didn’t pay him. I don’t have to pay anybody. I wish you could see my DMs, I’m in a great place. I don’t have to pay anybody. [And] do you think I would take that risk, going through a divorce, going public with someone, unless I was confident in that relationship? I would never do that. I take my relationships seriously and my family seriously, and I thought I was in a serious relationship.”
Stacey Rusch, a new cast member on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, and TJ Jones, an actor, dated for about one year during her first season of RHOP. Stacey revealed at the Season 9 reunion that she and TJ had broken up. Later in the reunion, cast member Wendy Osefo’s husband Eddie called TJ about why he wasn’t at the reunion, which led TJ to slam Stacey and allege that their relationship was fake. “You know she paying me to do the show, man… like, whatcha talking about?” he said. “You gotta talk to that girl. Give me my money!”
The Real Housewives of Potomac streams on Peacock.
