Jennifer Garner’s Boyfriend ‘Bothered’ by ‘Touchy-Feely’ Ben Affleck Wanting to Give His Ex-Wife ‘Another Chance’
Is there tension in the air? Ben Affleck is hanging out more with his family after his high profile breakup with J-Lo, and it’s raising some eyebrows with the public and even other family members.
Since his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck has been spending a lot of time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The two called it quits in 2015, with their divorce finalized in 2018. They share three children: Violet, Finn, and Samuel. Since the divorce, Garner moved on with John Miller, who doesn’t seem too happy about the old flames rekindling.
How Does Jennifer Garner’s boyfriend feel about Ben Affleck?
A source told the Daily Mail that the feelings are quite complicated. “Does it bother John when he sees the two of them being touchy-feely? Sure,” the source dished. “It would get to anyone, but this is nothing new. Ben and Jen have a unique relationship, especially for exes. He loves her more than any woman he has ever loved besides his mom. But he also accepts that this cannot be. Not while she is devoted to someone else. Ben will always flirt with Jen, and she sees it as innocent.”
The source also doubled down about how the couple and Ben put up strict boundaries with each other. “Ben is not Jen’s boyfriend, nor is he her husband anymore. John is her partner, and she is happy in her relationship.” They continued, “Ben’s friends truly believe that if Jen and John split, that he would get back together with her in a heartbeat. But that is not the case, and Ben respects her relationship with John.”
The report comes after sources told Page Six that Affleck would “love another chance” with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, “if the timing is ever right.” But the source also added a more practical lense in all of the chaos. “At the same time, Ben knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives.”
“Ben just got out of a marriage and finalized his divorce [from Jennifer Lopez], he is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter,” the Page Six source continued. “Plus, Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John [Miller] and would never come between them.”
A second insider told the site, “The feeling is not mutual on Jen’s side. She’s happy with John and that’s just not where her head is at. She has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that’s where things stand on her end at the moment.”
On J-Lo’s turf, the Daily Mail’s sources say she “saw the paintballing images when the rest of the world did, and of course it will make her question things from their time together. Her friends have questioned how platonic Jen and Ben are.”
