Ever since Andrew Burnap was cast opposite Rachel Zegler in Disney’s live-action Snow White, fans have been just as curious about the rising star’s love life as they are about his on-screen chemistry.

For those unfamiliar with Burnap, he’s quickly building a name for himself in Hollywood after an impressive run on Broadway. The Tony Award-winning actor has been quietly making waves with roles in some of streaming’s biggest hits—from playing a charismatic startup employee in Apple TV+’s WeCrashed alongside Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto, to taking on the complex role of Joseph Smith in FX’s critically acclaimed Under the Banner of Heaven with Andrew Garfield.

He’s also popped up in Apple TV+’s heartfelt drama Dear Edward and made appearances in popular series like Younger, The Good Fight, and FBI: Most Wanted. Most recently, horror fans might recognize him from his turn as Norman in Sam Eggers’s A24 chiller The Front Room opposite Brandy Norwood. Now, as he takes on the role of Prince Charming in Disney’s reimagined fairy tale, his star power is reaching new heights—but what about his personal life?

While Burnap has been open about his professional endeavors, he’s kept his personal relationships largely under wraps. So, is Disney’s newest leading man taken or flying solo?

Based on publicly available information, Andrew Burnap appears to be single—though he’s always appeared to be pretty private when it comes to his personal life. The actor rarely appears to discuss his dating status in interviews and keeps his social media focused mostly on his professional projects rather than relationships.

During the Snow White press tour, Burnap has shown nothing but professional admiration for his co-star Zegler. He’s called his involvement in the Disney adaptation a “dream come true,” while also praising his leading lady as a “once-in-a-generation talent.”

“It’s a new story in the sense that it’s no longer a princess waiting to be saved by a prince, but a princess waiting to be saved by herself and finding her voice, her strength, and her courage and actually, in the end, saving everyone around her,” Burnap told Man About Town Magazine in 2023. “I had an absolute blast working on that. I think Rachel is truly a once-in-a-generation talent, and I hope people will be as moved by what she did as I was.”

The closest glimpse into Burnap’s dating life came from a charming promotional segment with Zegler for Flagship Cinemas. The co-stars playfully deciphered dating red flags and green flags with a Snow White twist.

Burnap revealed that someone who breaks into song out of nowhere is a red flag for him but a green flag for Zegler. “Out of nowhere?” No thank you, according to the actor. He also considers someone who can’t stop looking at themselves in the mirror a red flag, along with constant whistling. Sorry, Snow White!

So, what does get his approval? Someone who can hang out with woodland creatures is “for sure” a green flag, though having lots of roommates is a red flag. He thoughtfully adds that “it probably means they can work well in a group setting,” showing his ability to see both sides.

When asked about someone handing out free apples, Burnap optimistically declared, “For the most part, that’s a kind person.” Zegler quipped in response, “Not in my case,” referencing the poisoned apple in the classic fairy tale.

Could Burnap’s packed schedule be partly responsible for his seemingly single status? With upcoming projects like the thriller The Up and Comer alongside Shay Mitchell and Nate Mann, it wouldn’t be surprising if the actor has little downtime for serious relationships.

Whether single or secretly attached, one thing is clear: Andrew Burnap is quickly becoming Hollywood’s newest heartthrob—and his apparent single status is keeping hope alive for new fans everywhere.
