Kim Turnbull Revealed What Brooklyn Was Really Like Before Her Alleged Ex Exposed His Parents’ ‘Countless Lies’—She Wanted to ‘Set the Record Straight’
Everyone in the Beckham family assembled for football legend David’s 50th birthday, but one absence is raising some eyebrows. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were nowhere to be seen and it might be because of a brotherly feud.
According to TMZ, brothers Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham haven’t been on speaking terms since December 2024. Romeo is currently dating model Kim Turnbull, who Brooklyn reportedly dated in 2016. To fan the flames, Romeo posted a picture of the celebration with his girlfriend and family, and made a shady comment: “Family means everything…”
Brooklyn and his wife weren’t invited to Victoria’s fashion show , and they also missed a soccer game (even though it took place in Los Angeles, where they live). The reasoning? It’s because they don’t want to be at any family event where Kim is invited. So what’s the history between them?
Why did Brooklyn Beckham & Kim Turnbull split?
Kim Turnbull denied rumors that the two were dating in an Instagram story, stating that she and him “have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point.”
“Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16,” she continued. “I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.”
However, Brooklyn and Kim’s problems with each other are “all water under the bridge,” according to TMZ. A factor that might have caused the split or lingering beef was that Kim moved on to one of Brooklyn’s best friends, Rocco Ritchie, the son of Madonna.
Brooklyn and Nicola also don’t think Kim has the “right intentions” in dating Romeo. However, Victoria and David completely approve of Kim and Romeo’s budding relationship. Sources told TMZ that Posh and Becks “trust” the model around their younger son.
This also isn’t the first time there have been rumors of strain within the family. After Nicola Peltz & Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding, there was an onslaught of rumors that Victoria Beckham had beef with her daughter-in-law because of the poor planning. Tough family matters it is.
Romeo and Kim briefly split in 2025, before shortly reuniting. However, their breakup was caused by their busy schedules. “David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn because that simply isn’t the case,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too, there is lots of travelling for both of them and having a relationship at this time isn’t all that conducive to their lives.”
In Jan. 19, Brooklyn posted a scathing post about his relationship with his parents. “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family [with] performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships,” he continued. “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.”
Shortly after the post went viral, Romeo and Kim were seen hand in hand at Paris Fashion Week.
