Bella Ramsey has been in the spotlight long before they landed the role of Ellie in The Last of Us. The performer, after all, first wowed audiences in the role of Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones. Ironically, that was the same show that catapulted their The Last of Us co-star Pedro Pascal, into stardom. They just wouldn’t cross paths, as Pascal’s Oberyn Martell died a few seasons before Ramsey’s character even made an appearance.
The role of Ellie in HBO‘s The Last of Us had been one of the most coveted roles in entertainment, and with the second season—which is set to put Ellie even more in the spotlight—now coming up, fans have started focusing once again on Ramsey. This includes a renewed focus on their personal life, including their dating life. Ramsey, who uses they/them pronouns, has not confirmed a relationship with anyone, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been reports linking them with one particular someone.

Stella is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress, best known for the role of Daphne Conrad on the TV show Nashville. She also starred in the coming of age comedy My Old Ass, opposite Aubrey Plaza. She has also released her debut solo song titled “Riding Free,” which is included in the Spirit Riding Free soundtrack. Rumors about her relationship with Ramsey have been swirling since at least June of 2024, when the two started sharing each other on Instagram. The pair escalated this into commenting on each other’s Instagrams.
Then, in August, Stella appeared alongside Maddie Ziegler on Hot Ones Versus. When Ziegler asked Stella if she’d like to tell everyone whom she is dating, she chose to eat a very spicy wing instead. Truly interesting, all things considered.
The two continued to appear on each other’s social media, with Ramsey in the background of pictures from Stella’s movie My Old Ass and the actress sharing a picture of the two embracing to celebrate Ramsey’s birthday.
Ramsey made some rare comments about their life in an interview for Vogue U.K’s. April 2025 issue. In Season 2 of The Last of Us, their character Ellie finds romance with a girl, which Ramsey compared to their real-life experience and how they were “properly in love” for the first time, adding, “Experiencing that while I was filming the show was really special.”
They did not mention anyone by name during the interview, though Ramsey did speak about their sexual identity. “Part of the job of being an actor is that you’re supposed to have an answer to every question that people ask you,” they explained. “But actually the answer can be: ‘I don’t know and I’m not ready to talk about that,’ and that’s something that I’m still figuring out.”
