Taylor Swift’s Feud With Kanye West Just Got Reignited as Her Fallout With Blake Lively Takes a Turn
Every day, there’s news in Taylor Swift-land. Or perhaps, when you’re as famous as Taylor Swift, everything that happens around you becomes news. Either way, it feels like the singer is in the spotlight every other day, whether it’s because people are speculating about her relationship with Travis Kelce, which has been going strong for a while, or because people are wondering about her friendship with Blake Lively.
Now, Ed Sheeran is reviving another long-standing Taylor Swift feud, all thanks to a fun memory of Swift’s own sense of humor about it. It seems like Sheran was just taking a stroll through memory lane and decided it should include a gift Swift sent to him back in 2013, complete with Kanye West shade and all.

The photo, of a jar of homemade jam that Swift gifted Sheeran, was one he’d shared before, but decided to share again after creating a new Instagram account for his old pictures. The jar of jam has a handwritten note that reads: “Yo Ed — I’m really happy 4 you and I’m gonna let you finish but this is the best jam of all-time. — T.” In the repost, Sheeran only said, “It was pretty good jam.”
For anyone unfamiliar with the reference, this is a not-so-subtle dig at Kanye West. West famously interrupted Swift’s speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, literally getting on stage and grabbing the mic from her. The two would go on to diss each other in their music in the years to come, with public perception always skewing wildly in Swift’s direction.
This is particularly true considering that Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) has been at the center of controversy after controversy lately, including his marriage to Bianca Censori, his bumpy relationship with his ex and the mother of his children, Kim Kardashian, and political statements that seem designed to rile up people.
Swift, meanwhile, has had her share of controversy lately, particularly when it comes to friend Blake Lively. Rumors indicate that Swift and Lively, who had been good friends for years, had some sort of falling out after Lively used Swift’s name in an attempt to scare off Justin Baldoni when she was having issues with the It Ends With Us director. There have been conflicting reports about whether the two had made up or not, with the latest reports indicating they had, but the latest development doesn’t bode well for fans of their friendship.
TMZ reported just a few days ago that Kelce had unfollowed Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram. Kelce is reportedly not following Lively, either. Reynolds, however, does follow Kelce. The foursome was last seen together last October, when they went on a double date at The Corner Store in New York City. Reynolds, Lively, and Swift were also present at Super Bowl LVIII, where Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, beat the San Francisco 49ers.
So, it seems all might not be well in the friendship, but at least Swift’s boyfriend has her back. There is that.
