Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been rock solid for what feels like a while already. Sure, Swift has had many relationships in the spotlight, but this one has always felt different. Perhaps it’s that with her ex, Joe Alwyn, we barely saw Swift in love, so there’s little comparison point. Or maybe it’s that we’ve already seen Kelce go to bat for Swift, publicly. Case in point, the Blake Lively and Taylor Swift drama. But was that actually a good thing in Swift’s eyes?
Swift might live a life in the spotlight, that’s hard to avoid when you’re Taylor Swift, but she likes to keep the details private. Plus, the two have been seen in public together separately lately, leading fans to wonder if all is alright with the relationship. According to Page Six, there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.

“They’re still so in love and enjoying spending time with their friends and each other during the offseason,” a source told the outlet. “There’s no trouble at all.”
If fans needed the reassurance, it’s because TMZ reported just a few days ago that Kelce had unfollowed Blake Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram. Yes, that same Blake Lively who has been Taylor Swift’s friend for years. The two reportedly had a falling out after Lively reportedly referred to Swift as one of her “dragons” in an effort to put pressure on It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.
The foursome was last seen together last October, when they went on a double date at The Corner Store in New York City. Reynolds, Lively, and Swift were also present at Super Bowl LVIII, where Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, beat the San Francisco 49ers.
So, Travis Kelce going ahead and unfollowing Reynolds sends a pretty big message about the state of Swift and Lively’s friendship, or at least his feelings about it. People reported in April 2025 that Swift and Lively’s friendship is on the mend, with the outlet saying, “Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good. Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn’t something she took lightly.”
But perhaps this is just a sign of Kelce being protective of his girlfriend. This would make sense, especially after reports that the two have spent the last few months reconnecting after their busy schedules with the Eras Tour and the football season.
“A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing. Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple,” an insider told Page Six. “They like to cuddle on the couch and watch movies, play board games, spend time with family, cook dinner together, and just hang out,” the source added.
That sounds like a couple who is growing stronger and stronger by the minute. And one who won’t likely be affected by something like who follows whom on Instagram.
