As three of the members of BLACKPINK grace the Met Gala red carpet, many BLINKs might be wondering where the Jisoo is. The eldest member didn’t appear at Fashion’s Biggest Night, so where could she be?
Lisa made her Met Gala debut this year as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton. Jennie was one of the first on-comers to the Met Gala when she wore a vintage Chanel tuxedo gown. Rosé was the last to come as she wore a Saint Laurent black suit with an long sash. Jisoo is an ambassador for Dior, so it would make sense for her to come dressed in the fashion house’s outfit. When interviewing Rosé at the red carpet, Lala Anthony mentioned that all the members of the girl group were in attendance, but was she right?
Is Jisoo at the Met Gala with her BLACKPINK members?
Jisoo has yet to make an appearance at the Met Gala. In an interview earlier this year, Jisoo said that she had a busy 2025 ahead. She was busy filming a movie in South Korea in the first few months of 2025 and released her EP Amortage.
This year’s Met Gala theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The dress code for the big event is “Tailored for You,” a nod to the exhibition’s focus on suiting and menswear—from specific silhouettes to various fabrics and accessories—that is purposefully designed to both provide guidance and invite creative interpretation.
Jisoo’s year is only getting started as Lisa recently revealed that Blackpink was just in the studio to record new material for their new album. The girl group is set for their world tour in summer 2025.
