Watch Kim Kardashian Give an Icy Stare to a Security Guard For Making Her Trip at the Met Gala

Kim Kardashian doesn’t play when it comes to her fashion, and that much was true at the Met Gala 2025 when she gave a security guard a cold look when he stepped on her dress, causing her to trip.
In a video by Paul Andrew NYC, Kim could be seen leaving her hotel with her daughter, North West, on their way to the Met Gala when a security guard accidentally stepped on the train of her dress, which caused her to take a small stumble. The video showed North, wearing a cow print coat and shorts and blue braids, heading to the car first as Kim followed her in a black leather dress and a cowboy hat. Kim’s look was designed by Chrome Hearts.
As North got in the car, Kim paused as a security guard behind her stepped on her dress. The video continued with Kim glaring at the security guard before flipping her hair off of her shoulder and continuing to her car. “Someone’s getting fired for making her trip,” a user commented on a repost of the video on TikTok. Another user responded, “It was her security ahhh.”
Others, however, blamed Kim for causing herself to trip because of her tight outfit. “Why is she always wearing things that are clearly too tight and uncomfortable. Sis… it’s NOT giving, I promise you!” a user wrote, to which another commented responded, “Right! She could switch it up. Them is tailored not skin tight.”
Kim was one of three Kardashian-Jenners to attend the Met Gala. Her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, also walked the red carpet at the event earlier in the night, while her other siblings, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian, were missing from the ball. Along with North, Kim shares sons Saint and Psalm and daughter Chicago with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
In an episode of her reality show, The Kardashians, in 2023, Kim claimed that North is “critical” of designers.” “I like the pearls, I just don’t like how it looks like it’s from the dollar store,” North said as Kim got ready for the 2023 Met Gala.
“North can be critical,” Kim said in a confessional interview during the episode. “I had John Galliano fitting me for a dress and North was giving notes. This is just her vibe.”
During the fitting, Galliano’s designer, Daniel Roseberry, commented on North thinking his pearls for Kim looked “fake.” “It’s like I’m being punked,” he said. “The night before the Met, getting grilled by a 9-year-old.”
Later in the episode, Noirth asked Kim if her dres was going to give Kim a “wedgie” and compared her look to “the moon.” “There’s a way to be honest and not hurt people’s feelings, and I want you to learn that,” Kim told North. Despite her criticism, Kim maintained that North is the “sweetest ever.”
“All North wants to do is rate people’s outfits, and she loves to critique,” she said. “North is like the new Joan Rivers if you ask me. And you can’t really take it seriously, getting roasted by a 10-year-old, so I never do. But it stings a little.”
