There’s no going back for Harry. The Duke of Sussex’s bombshell interview which he said his father King Charles doesn’t talk to him anymore, made an even worse impression on the Royal Family.
A source told Page Six that the Royal family isn’t taking a stand against Harry’s “whiny” behaviors. “I genuinely think nobody trusts him and that’s the bottom line. The royal family has major trust issues with him and that’s what’s at the heart of everything,” a close source said. “They don’t trust him and Meghan and that’s why they can’t have a relationship … maybe there’s room to forgive, but they won’t forget.”
After losing his appeal to maintain public funding for security in the UK, Prince Harry talked to the BBC about how he would like to talk to his father again. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.”
“Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” he said about his father who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. “He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.” He also added that his father should be open to reconciliation and help solve his security problem. “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” he said. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts do what is necessary.”
“Forgiveness and trust are two different things,” the source confirmed, who also noted that Harry tried to get in contact with his father when he was in the country in April 2025. “Harry messaged Charles and he never heard back. He wanted to talk to his dad about security stuff then, but his dad wouldn’t speak to him. He really felt like his dad could overturn things.”
British broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox News that reconciliation will never be in the cards. “This is not the case. Prince Harry is constantly in fight mode, battling personal crusades and publicly trashing the British royal family. Prince Harry may wear his heart on his sleeve. However, his lack of empathy towards others, hypocritical antics and blurred sense of reality has not only done him damage but has negatively impacted the whole royal family.”
