Hailey Bieber is opening up about the difficulties that come along with postpartum. The Rhode founder talked to Vogue about her experiences after giving birth to Jack Blues, and the internet’s backlash when it came to those Justin Bieber divorce rumors.

“Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” Hailey told the fashion magazine. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and ‘They’re this’ and ‘They’re not happy,’ it is such a mindf—-. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”

After ongoing rumors that she and her husband of seven years were going to divorce, she talked about the mental toll it took on her. “I’ve been in a position where I’ve tried to tell my side of a story or correct a narrative or tell the truth of a lie and then they go, Well, she’s lying. Imagine how trapping that feels.”

Her solution? To ignore all of it and live in peace with the “Let Me Love You” singer and their baby. “I’ve learned so much from Justin, really,” she said. “He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know. He was like, ‘Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning.’ ”

In the interview, the popstar defended his wife from the divorce rumors. “I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life,” Justin added in an email quote to the outlet, “but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey.”

He continued, “She’s in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art, and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy.”

Hailey also touched upon how giving birth was one of the hardest experiences she’s had in her life. “That shit was so crazy,” she reacted. That was not fun. They broke my water. I went into labor, and I labored for a few hours. No epidural, nothing.”

“I trust my doctor with my life,” Hailey assured. “And so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me. But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind.”

The recent divorce rumors seemed to pick up pace when RadarOnline reported that the couple was “living apart.” “They’re no longer under the same roof – and that’s a big deal,” a source told the gossip site. However, Hailey denied those rumors in the Vogue interview. “There’s no leaving LA for us,” she said. “We love it here.”

“I’m a cozy person. Our house is my element, and my sanctuary,” she described the $28 million Beverly Hills mansion she designed and shares with Justin. “It’s where my heart is, for sure.”
