Prince William’s Harry Fallout Reportedly Causing ‘Marriage-Wrecking’ Wedge With Kate Middleton—’It’s Heartbreaking’
Kate Middleton might have some sympathy for her brother-in-law. After Prince Harry delivered a bombshell interview after he lost his security appeal, the Princess of Wales is reportedly urging her husband to make amends with his estranged brother.
A source told RadarOnline that Harry’s act made a “marriage-wrecking” wedge in the Royal Family. “William is furious that Harry’s speaking out again and doing interviews – he’s convinced this isn’t the end of it,” the source said. “He’s made it clear to the rest of the family that they should keep their distance from the Sussexes, because anything shared could be turned against them.”
“William doesn’t like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone,” the source elaborated. “What he’s most worried about is that anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later – especially if there’s another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story.”
In turn, his wife expressed deep concern for Prince Harry. “Kate’s deeply upset with Harry, but she’s also frustrated that William and the rest of the family have allowed things to deteriorate this badly,” the insider elaborated. “It’s heartbreaking for her to watch the family so publicly divided.”
Kate has urged for all members of the working Royal family to “lighten up on Harry”, reach out and “finally make peace.” However, the reality of things could make things pretty hard. “It’s unlikely to happen, but Kate is trying her best as she knows the family can’t withstand and more tragedies or scandals.”
In the BBC interview, Prince Harry expressed that he wanted to reconcile with his family, especially with his father, King Charles, ailing health. “I would love reconciliation with my family,” he confessed.
“There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” he said about his father who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. “He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.
“Kate knows Harry was wrong to give that interview to the BBC about his security situation – there’s no denying it,” the source said. “But she can also see how much he’s struggling — it’s clear in his expression and the way he carries himself.”
The reports also come after sources dished that when William takes the throne, he is ready to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their titles. “It’s no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with. He thinks he has betrayed the family from top to bottom, which is the ultimate Windsor crime. It wouldn’t take much to provoke him to flex his muscles when he is king,” a palace insider told The Daily Beast.
