Selena Gomez Just Reacted to Hailey Bieber in Vogue After Justin Told Her She’d ‘Never Be on the Cover’
Selena Gomez is proving herself to be a girl’s girl, according to some fans. The Rare Beauty founder showed her subtle support for longtime rumored frenemy Hailey Bieber.
Selena Gomez just liked Sephora’s Instagram post announcing that Rhode would be sold at the beauty store. Many eagle-eyed fans saw the interaction and one wrote, “SELENA LIKED THE POST.” Others interpreted it as support, with people commenting, “Selena is so sweet❤️” and “not selena being more supportive towards hb than her own husband.”

The interaction comes after Justin Bieber wrote a scathing Instagram caption about his wife. “Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight. I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue. Yikes I know, so mean,” he captioned a post of her Vogue cover, which has since been edited.
“For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even,” he continued. “I think as we mature we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even … So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.”
In the same Vogue interview, Hailey Bieber criticized people who were doubting their marriage and wanted them to get a divorce. “Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” Hailey told the fashion magazine. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and ‘They’re this’ and ‘They’re not happy,’ it is such a mindf—-. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”
Justin also added his two cents in the cover story. “I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life,” he told the publication via email. “but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey.”
“She’s in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art and fashion,” he added. “And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy.”
Selena Gomez famously dated Justin Bieber on-and-off from 2009 to 2018. He later married Hailey in a courthouse wedding in September 2018, while Selena Gomez is currently engaged to Benny Blanco. There were ongoing rumors that Selena and Hailey had social media beef, which was squashed by Selena. “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” the singer wrote via Instagram Story statement. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
