Blake Lively Just Praised Another ‘Great’ Celebrity Couple Amid Reports Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are ‘Done’ With Her

Blake Lively may be on the outs with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but at least she has another celebrity couple to double date with. Amid reports that Swift and Kelce are “done” with her, Lively shared an Instagram Story complimenting Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars and real-life couple, Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenny.
“Babes. The smartest, kindest, most talented couple. They’re great parents. Not just to their kids. But to everyone in their orbit,” Lively wrote over a Variety cover of Olson and McElhenny. “We love sharing life with you both @kaitlinolson & robmcelhenny.”
Lively’s post came after a source told The Daily Mail that Swift was “done” with her 10-year friendship with Lively after feeling “exploited” by her amid Lively’s lawsuit with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. “There is no recovering from this. Their friendship is done,” the insider said. “What Blake has done was exploit the Godmother of her children and manipulate the public into thinking that she was watching out for her best interests.”
The report came after Swift was subpoenaed as a witness in Lively and Baldoni’s trial following claims that Swift was present at a meeting with Baldoni, Lively, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, about a scene she wanted to rewrite in It Ends With Us. “’Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” a representative for Swift said in a statement to The Daily Mail.
While The Daily Mail reported that Lively and Swift’s friendship was done, a source told People at the time that their relationship has only temporarily “halted.” “Their friendship has halted,” the insider said. “Taylor wants no part in this drama.” The source confirmed that Swift and Lively were indeed “taking some space,” but that they are “not no longer friends.”
According to the source, Baldoni’s subpoena “fractured” the “fragile peace” between Lively and Swift, who were still in the midst of mending their friendship. A source also told the magazine in April 2025 that Swift was “really hurt” after being involved in Lively legal drama but the two were working to “put it all behind them.”
Sources also told People in May 2025 that Gigi Hadid, another friend of Lively and Swift’s, has also paused her friendship with the actress due to her involving Swift in their legal drama.
“Gigi feels terrible that her close friend is being pulled into the legal drama,” the insider said. Another source added, “Gigi is closer to Taylor and has definitely taken her side in this whole drama. Gigi doesn’t want to get involved in this whole ordeal, but she is closer to Taylor and has distanced herself from Blake although she still considers her a friend.”
All of the drama comes after fans noticed that Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, unfollowed Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, in early May 2025.
