Brett Favre might be one of the most famous football players in NFL history, but his run has been plagued by many different scandals, including one that he might have gotten away with. Netflix’s newest documentary focuses on his controversial impact on the NFL.
Untold: The Fall of Brett Favre mostly focuses on the 2010 scandal when Brett sent unsolicited explicit images to Jenn Sterger. “So, here’s the craziest part about the whole scandal — I’ve never met Brett Favre,” Sterger said in the documentary. “We’ve never been in the same room, we’ve never shaken hands, we had no kind of relationship, no rapport, nothing.” Brett admitted to sending voice mails to the comedian, but denied to NFL investigators sharing photos of his privates. He was fined $50,000 for not cooperating in the investigation, but was found not to be in violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

But people who are just tapping in to the drama might be wondering if Brett Favre is still with his wife.
Brett Favre is still married to his wife, Deanna Favre. The couple has been transparent about their breakups over the years and how they still remain as tight as ever.
On April 8, 2025, the former Green Bay packers player posted an Instagram carousel of himself and Deanna embracing each other. He captioned the post: “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22 ♥️🙏”
Favre, who has “There were times when we were broken up and we were seeing other people, but we still talked,” his wife told The Journal Times. “I always knew if the relationship didn’t work out, we could always be friends.”
“Well, family is obviously the most important. There was a time when I thought football was the most important. Football will be over at some point, the family goes on,” Brett said.
The two have known each other since high school, and Deanna had their first child together at 19. They married on July 14, 1996. “We started dating so young,” she told the New York Daily News. “So I’ve always known that he was a good, quality person with great character.”
Deanna was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33 in 2004. She cited Brett to be a rock in their relationship at the time after he had recovered from his Vicodin addiction. “Cancer can make you feel so alone,” she wrote in an essay. “Love and support are the only antidotes. Brett used his experience getting off painkillers to share his strength with me. It wasn’t my strength or Brett’s. It was our strength.”
She continued, “Brett went public with my cancer. I started receiving hundreds of letters. The prayers gave me strength on days when all my energy was spent. Each woman in my Bible study picked a Bible verse to encourage me, and an artist arranged them around the verse from Philippians: ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'”
In response to the documentary, she said, “I’m handling this through faith,” when asked about the Jenn Sturger accusations.
