After being “ridiculed relentlessly” for how her face looked in And Just Like That Season 1, Kristin Davis is going au naturel.
Davis hasn’t confirmed whether she’s had plastic surgery done, however, she revealed in an interview with The Telegraph in 2023 that she has had fillers in her face, which she dissolved after backlash over her appearance in Season 1 of And Just Like That. “I have done fillers and it’s been good, and I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad,” she said. “I’ve had to get them dissolved and I’ve been ridiculed relentlessly. And I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful.”

She also slammed critics for blaming her, instead of those who administered the fillers, for her face looking “wrong.” “It’s whatever. I can’t keep it up,” she said. “I don’t have time. You’re trusting doctors [but] people personally blame us when it goes wrong – [as if] I jabbed a needle in my face.”

Davis, who has also had work done on her lips, explained that she had the cosmetic procedure done because of the constant reminders of how she looked while filming Sex and the City in her 30s. “It’s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times,” she said. “It’s a challenge to remember that you don’t have to look like that. The internet wants you to — but they also don’t want you to. They’re very conflicted.”
Months after the interview, Davis shared a photo of her filler-less face without makeup in an Instagram post from Kenya. “Jet lagged, but the Kenya hair is worth it ❤️ #throwback,” she captioned the post. Her And Just Like That co-star, Sarita Chouhury, who plays Seema Patel, commented, “Natural beauty.” Another user wrote, “You look really beautiful without makeup!!!” while a third commented, “Still beautiful.”

Davis also told the newspaper that she no longer works out extensively or follows a special diet, as she “just eats what the kids are eating.” Davis is a mother to daughter Gemma and son Wilson, whom she adopted in 2011 and 2018, respectively.
Davis’ Sex and the City co-star, Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, also addressed societal stigma around aging in an interview with The Daily Mail in 2011. She told the newspaper that she wanted to “embrace aging because I think that’s what’s interesting.” She continued, “I think a forehead without any lines doesn’t tell me they’ve lived a life.”
Davis’ other And Just Like That co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, also addressed plastic surgery rumors in an interview with Vogue in 2021. “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?” she said.
She also confirmed she hasn’t had a facelift in an interview on The Howard Stern Show in 2023. “You know, I missed out on the facelift,” she said. “Like an old-fashioned good one that you have when you’re like 44.” Instead of Botox, Parker revealed that her skin care routine included regular visits to dermatologist with less-invasive treatments, such as chemical peels.
“I do understand why people make the choice, because there is so much emphasis put on, especially women, and primarily women, about looks,” she said. “I think about all of it! I ask people all the time like, ‘Is it too late?’”
